Charles Edward Conley of Elloree, S.C., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10 on his 74th birthday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, at 3 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elloree, S.C., with Pastor D. Mitchell Evans officiating. Visitation will be in the church social hall from 1-2:30 p.m., prior to the service. Mr. Conley was born in Hagan on March 10, 1944. He was the son of the late Leonard H. and Mattie Lou Cowart Conley. He retired from Southern States, formerly Gold Kist, as the regional turf sales manager. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Elloree, S.C. He also served in the Air National Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Harrell. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Polin Conley; three daughters, Selena C. (Michael) Bedenbaugh, Laura C. (J. Robert Bryant, Jr.) Bryant, Anna C. (Will) James; one son, Charles Wayne (Brandi) Conley; five grandchildren, Amber Bryant (Thad) Ott, Madison Parker Bedenbaugh, Millie Anne James, Jessica and River Conley; four brothers, Junior Conley, Frankie Conley, Billy Conley and Ellis Conley; five sisters, Laverne Cannon, Shirley Crosby, Kathy Cason, Betty Sue Scarborough and Pansy Smith.
